You've seen the chatter. After everything KU did to help hold the conference together over the years, and now that KU has a decent football program, please tell me that the SEC talk is at the same level of periodic rumors of Self leaving to go to OSU. I know that the current realignment environment is a little unpredictable, but I just don't see myself enjoying switching conferences. Also I can't imagine the idiotic "I told ya so" crap the Tigger fans would throw out.

So far the talk about KU to the SEC is mostly generated by Greg Flugaur.
I will note that he is basing his report on his sources, and they are talking about what SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey is looking at.
I will also note that Flugaur is saying KANSAS is in the discussion, not a lock, as Team 20 if the SEC goes to 20.

It is worth noting that Flugaur to date has not been 100%, but he has been right about the majority of the topics he talks about. For examples, he called USC & UCLA to the B1G and CU returning to the Big 12 long before they happened.

Other folks are posting on JayhawkSlant that Greg Swaim has predicted that Kansas will end up in the B1G.
However, I've found nothing directly posted by Swaim - at least nothing recent - verifying he has made that prediction.

In today's big money college athletics, if either of those conferences gives you a welcome key, essentially doubling the amount of money you will have coming in each year, you take it.

I would prefer the B1G, but cannot see KANSAS saying no to the SEC if they offer a chair at the table, especially so if the B1G does not.

It's all about the Benjamins.

Although I do have to note that if, as Flugaur has predicted, the SEC picked up UNC as well that would make one hell of a hoops conference -- all 3 of the Top 3 winningest programs in the same conference.

Whoa...
